Libido doesn’t just refer to sex. Libido is life-energy, motivation, a feeling of well-being. When hormones levels fall and life stresses increase, interest in sex can be the first thing to go. With our lifespan extending decades longer than before, people want their healthy sex life to last much longer.
Most of you are aware of my new work with the Holtorf Medical Group in Foster City, CA. I am privileged to help women and men balance their hormones and feel like themselves again. As part of my job now I have frequent opportunities to be interviewed for online journal articles, as well as other media appearances.
NEWS THAT NEVER MADE BIG HEADLINES
Data analysis from the Women’s Health Initiative (WHI) Study, first reported in 2002, just keeps coming, even though the study results are not applicable to most women nowadays due to the women studied and the hormones that were used. The biggest finding that you never heard about was that the women only on estrogen (Premarin) had LESS BREAST CANCER!
This article is taking on a life of its own: I wrote it recently for Woman’s Day online magazine, and it has gotten picked up by NBC’s iVillage, and led to a really fun interview today on the Playboy radio station on Sirius XM. Enjoy!
