About Dr. Liz

Dr. Elizabeth Lyster earned her medical degree from the University of California at Irvine, after graduating from Cornell University with honors. She pursues ongoing advanced postgraduate training in Bioidentical Hormone and Nutraceutical Replacement therapy and lifestyle modulation for men and women.

Since 1990, Dr. Lyster has been helping patients with complex hormonal imbalances, metabolic conditions causing weight issues, thyroid dysfunction, and fatigue disorders. Through personal life experience, she has merged her medical training with alternative approaches to optimal health and well-being for men and women of all ages.

Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, she has special expertise in the treatment of perimenopause and menopause with bioidentical hormones. In 2009, Dr. Lyster published her first book, “Dr. Liz’s Easy Guide to Menopause: 5 Simple Steps to Balancing Your Hormones and Feeling LikeYourself Again”. She is currently working on her second book, which is being written for men, to explain both female and male hormonal imbalance.

Dr. Lyster also holds a Master of Public Health degree in Health Education from UCLA. She gives lectures to community groups and doctors, writes articles turning complex medical topics into understandable language, and enjoys frequent media appearances. She is the mom of two active boys, and enjoys travel, fitness training, and arts and crafts. She is fluent in Spanish.
